Islamabad: Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held a meeting with PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha and Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi in Islamabad.
PPP Central Information Secretary Nadeem Afzal Chan and Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon were also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha discussed the political and organizational situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The PPP KP leadership briefed the Chairman on the successful Youth Convention held in Abbottabad and the public outreach events organized in Mansehra.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appreciated the performance of the party organization in Abbottabad and Mansehra, saying that the local party leadership and workers had done commendable work in strengthening PPP’s presence in the region.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also briefed the Chairman about the ongoing wheat shortage crisis in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Expressing concern over the situation, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari directed the Governor to play an active role in resolving the wheat crisis, just as he had contributed to resolving the CNG issue in the province.
The PPP Chairman further instructed Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to take all political parties along in raising the case of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s rights at every forum.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also briefed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari regarding the proposed taxes on FATA and PATA in the federal budget. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reiterated that he would continue to raise his voice for the rights of the people of FATA and PATA.
The meeting also included a discussion on the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the PPP KP leadership briefing the Chairman on efforts related to peace and stability in the province.
